A Word from David Boberg

Hello Men,

I hope that you and your loved ones are having a good summer. Our Men’s Fellowship recently finished a study called “The Battle Plan for Prayer” where we looked at types of prayer, praying strategically and specifically, praying for our family and praying in the Spirit among other topics. We were challenged to strengthen our prayer lives and found it to be a valuable study and reminder on the power and priority of prayer.

I wanted to inform you that our Men’s Fellowship will be beginning a new study starting on Saturday July 18, 2020. We would love to have you come join us! We meet every Saturday morning from 8am – 10am in the Fellowship Hall. Coffee and donuts are provided but more importantly we get into God’s Word. For our new study we will be getting into the book of Revelation. Did you know that the book of Revelation promises a blessing to those who read, hear and keep the words of this important book?

We are going to be taking an in-depth look at the “7 Letters to the 7 Churches of Revelation.” These letters are vital and pressing for our times. The days are darkening but the church’s problems are far from new. They have been with us since the beginning and they are as dangerous today as they were then. We are going to explore the letters to the 7 churches and get an understanding of Jesus’ words to:

· The Loveless Church
· The Persecuted Church
· The Compromising Church
· The Corrupt Church
· The Dead Church
· The Faithful Church
· The Lukewarm Church

You know, it is not popular in our “tolerant” times to speak of warnings or punishment, and yet Christ message to 5 of the 7 churches was straightforward – REPENT! It is the message that many of us need to hear today in these challenging and difficult times. It’s time we ask ourselves, “What would Jesus say to our church?” “What would He say to us as individuals?”

Come be blessed as we open up our Bibles, keeping our eyes fixed on Christ and His promises. There is no better place to be than with like-minded men who want to draw closer to the Lord. We hope to see you on July 18 at 8am!

In Christ,
David Boberg
